Double-click Mask Tool Issue
Posted by Doug Zaner on July 1, 2008 at 3:21 pmHello All,
I’m having trouble adding a mask to my solid by double clicking the mask/shape tool in CS3. Normally this works but all of a sudden it doesn’t. Does anyone know why this might be?Thanks!

July 2, 2008 at 2:02 pmThe solid is locked, or maybe deselected? Or, if the reactangular mask tool is selected, maybe the mask is being created, you just can’t see it because it is lined up with the edges?
Can’t think what else it might be…

July 2, 2008 at 3:02 pmHey Simon,
Unfortunately I looked at all that and the layer is selected, unlocked and I was using the ellipse tool; though I tried the rectangle tool just to make sure. Its very confusing especially since it worked just fine a few days ago. Could there be a preference or a switch somewhere that I’m not seeing?Thank you for your response

I had the same problem today. Switching WORKSPACES and then back again seemed to solve it
