Posted by Richard Cardonna on April 6, 2013 at 4:32 pmIf so please tell us your experience.
If not, why? aren’t cloud members supposed to get instant upgrades? before anyone else?

April 6, 2013 at 5:20 pmWell as I understood, all cloud memebers would get instant free upgrades as soon as the where made. Did I understand correctly?

Yes, but the software isn’t released yet.
If you are a Cloud member, as soon as CS7 is released, you will be able to download it.

April 6, 2013 at 6:08 pmAs soon as they’re released. Not made. I wouldn’t mind if they finished them first.

April 7, 2013 at 4:35 pmIt’s Cloud Storage, not a time machine.
I’d pay a lot to download unreleased software from the future, personally.

Richard,
I’m not sure if your question is sincere or not, but I believe the offer was that cloud members get ongoing access to new features, while those who purchase the software get new features at milestone releases. You could probably find the original marketing if you were interested.
As the new features you’re talking about come a part of a milestone release, I suspect they will be available to all whether purchased or part of creative cloud “rental”. But so far, Adobe hasn’t indicated.
As for features added to creative cloud exclusively, here are some examples from the past year (not comprehensive):

April 7, 2013 at 5:10 pmNo early new features for PPro users though? I think Adobe could have thrown a couple in, just to make the cloud case even stronger. Unless of course we get the next release before the retail versions appear?

April 7, 2013 at 5:20 pmMy guess would be that the features being showcased at NAB are either currently at late Beta stage. Since I’m not a Beta tester, I can’t (nor would I) elaborate on it. I may be wrong here, but if last year’s release was any indication, I bought CS5.5 around NAB time, when the CS6 features were being heavily promoted, and took delivery of CS6 in May (via Backup Discs). It might, or might not, follow the same pattern…how’s that for specific?
