I my PC and Graphic card compatible with After Efects? I’m Newby :(
Hi there,
I’m rather newby into After Effects.
I tryed to render several videos (4 or more layers – 640*480), to a quick time file (Jpeg photo compression), like its done on the basic training (video copilot).
Unfortunately ,the final result isn’t what I expected. The rendered videos have loads of problems. There are several jumps, slowdowns, slowmotions, trembeling movements, pauses, gaps, etc. (If i render only the movie (normal footage) with no effects it works right.)
My computer is a PC AMD AThlom 3300 (windows XP, 1.5 GB Ram, and my graphic card is onboard). I know its not good 🙁 but this is 2d, right?
Can you please explain me what is the problem? What should I improve on my computer to solve it? For instances, when I render audio on another kind of software (such as cubase SX) , despite there are some pauses and errors during my session work, the rendered file is always clean (with no errors).
By the way, when I use premiere Pro to export to DVD some videos of mine, there are also errors (gaps, jumps, etc).
Please let me know what is the problem. is my graphic card? The speed of my CPU? My memory RAM? I need to know, because I would like to improve my computer. Can you exlain me how the video rendering works?

As I reply you before, I’m a newby in all this. I use my Cybershot P100 to do the clips (mpeg1 640*480, 30 frames). Can you explain me to which format should I convert my movies to? And which software should I use to do that? By the way, is my computer fine enough to work with After Effects? I don’t intend to do 3D, only keying simple things in 2D.

PS: I ususaly work with audio, and despite sometimes errors oucured in playback, due to loads of plug ins used by me, and virtual intruments, my rendered files ares always good (no errors).
