How do I slow the lightning effect?
I am trying to recreate a static ball effect with some simple lightning inside of a cathode tube. The problem is I can’t change the speed of the lightning. The speed it just insane, I was hoping for more of a smooth, slow wave action. I know of the speed option under lightning but that changes how fast the bolt undulates in relation to amplitude only.
Any tricks I am just not thinking of? Thanks gals and guys.

Excellent, after some tinkering around with Nesting and lowering the frame rate the lightning is moving much more naturally now. Definitely more appealing to my eyes. I had noticed before that when I rendered a small video at half the frame rate that the lightning was moving at a more desirable speed, but I did not want to lower my frame rate for my entire comp for obvious reasons. Nesting was the perfect answer.
