    hi,
i have some layers in a AE project that i want to import into another AE project. i don’t want to have to go about redoing them in the new project. how can i export a layer from one project to another? i don’t want to export as a mov as i want to be able to transform the layer when in the new project.
    thanks

Just drag your project file into your layer window. or simply import the file (recommend creating a new folder first; in your project and then drag the project file in it) There you should see the comps from the project in your second project

thanks. is there a way to just import one or 2 layers instead of the whole project? i’m taking a couple of layers from a HD project and putting them in a dv pal project. i imagine that the whole HD project is a lot to import as it is very complex with many layers and precomps. will importing the HD (ae) project into the pal one cause it to slow down etc?
    thanks again
