Who else is installing Smoke demo today?
Posted by Lance Bachelder on June 12, 2012 at 4:58 pmDownloading now… will it be enough to keep me on the Mac. Do I have to change my entire editing life to laptop?

June 12, 2012 at 6:33 pmNot just on a laptop… Remember you have to do it from the back of your car and be handsome, too.
Just like Apple has shown us what we want with the iDevices, you now must realize that you don’t want to work at a desk. From the car, on a plane, on the couch… but you can throw away your desk because no work is going to get done there anymore.
And you can stream your photos! Weeeeee!!!

Handsome may be too strong a word, but I think it’s safe to say that the members of Creative COW are better-looking than average. You can see the evidence at the top of the landing page for each forum.
Go look for yourselves.

Okay, I just got back. I clearly haven’t checked in a while.
But I think it’s safe to say that most of the members of Creative COW can figure out how to edit from the back of their cars.

Decisions, decisions.

June 13, 2012 at 12:08 amI download. Will play with later. But since it doesn’t support video out via bmd or matrox I guess it’ll. E like playing with FCP X a year ago. No video out, no multicam. And it only has the editing module, not action, etc.

Action is available in Pre-Release 1, as is Connect FX (timeline-integrated Batch).
There are several notable works-in-progress which are not currently included, though. See Marc-André Ferguson’s READ ME FIRST: Smoke 2013 Pre-Release Trial 1 [link].
