    Monday’s forum reaction posted Sunday.

Not knowing what’s really going to happen tomorrow I figured I’d cover anticipated posts for all sides.

“12 cores but only a built in 2GB VRAM GPU, HP here I come”
“I still can’t rack mount that thing”
“No internal hard drive expansion, that’s it, I’m outta here”
“It’s an iMacPro, a MacMiniPro, no, an iPadPro, they really don’t like us.”
“9 years and they still haven’t changed the case design. They really have forgotten us Pros”
“I’m so glad they didn’t change the case design. They really know what we want”
“Radical redesign, form over function. They really have forgotten us Pros”
“Wow a 4K resolution Retina Display but they limit our GPU choices. What were they thinking of?”
“Great, no PCIe slots and a slew of Thunderbolt ports. Where am I supposed to put all those peripherals on my desk?”
    “That’s not a workstation, it’s a lap warmer.”
    “USB3, too little too late.”
“so they get rid of the 17″ MBP and make a desktop that looks like a laptop, they just don’t listen.”
“Thunderbolt does not replace Ethernet, how can you do this Apple?”
“4 16xPCIe3 slots and 4 Thunderbolt ports. beast, beast, beast!”

I can only hope for that much clarity.

“It doesn’t work on a G5? Apple doesn’t care about Pros.”
“Why would serious pros even want a mac these days?”
    “That’s really expensive”.
    “That’s really cheap”.
“They’re turning our macs into iPads”.
“That’s it. I’m getting an HP. Oh, I don’t actually have a mac, I just like to come to this forum to watch the fights because it makes me feel a little better for never having invested the time to learn macs or final cut”.
    “What’s a troll?”
“Premiere could do that in just 40 steps.”
“You’re using the same argument and are revising history.”
“Our new HP with Premiere screams. It takes an act of God to record scratch VO, but it’s a really fast act”.

Nice idea, then people can simply cut and paste into their posts. If I could add a couple

“Yes it’s very good but I can get a faster PC for much less money”

    “No mid-range NVidia card support?”

    “Epic fail”

“Yes it’s good but will it be the last Mac Pro?”

“They quietly release FCPX with native MXF support and they don’t mention it in the keynote. No love for us Pros”
“Instead of giving us Blu-Ray, they take away our optical drive slots. Sheesh Apple, all my client want Blu-Ray.”

    I like this one

“I will use analogies to further my thoughts, even though analogies have somehow been banned from the Cow.”

“It has all new intel processors, but yet it’s still not pro.”

“I can only fit one screaming GPU, not 14, what a waste.”

“Wow, those iMacs look sweet. If it’s good enough for Autodesk, it’s good enough for me.”

“Did anyone catch that keynote? There will never be another Steve Jobs.”

“I don’t care what it is, it’s new, it runs OSX, I just clicked buy now.”

“Does anyone know when barefeats will post some benchmarks?”

“Oh my god, they killed Kenny.”

Look- I said before in part 1 of my closer look at FCPX, I DO have a couple Macs. One even has FCP 5 on it. Sheesh. 😉

And of course on the legacy forum there will be 5 or 6 posts about….

    ” I’m editing h264 footage and FCP 7 stutters/goes out of sync/ crashes/ won’t export fully…”
