Stagger Frames
Is there a way to stagger frames in ae.. instead of manually dragging all the frames then command clicking to deselect then dragging the rest..

Look at your KEyframe Assistants liek Wiggle
or Motion Sketch

Also you can select all the keyframes
then hold the Command Key (CTRL) and drag the last one… this will do an “accordion” stretch

Select the layers to be sequenced, in the order that you want them to be sequenced. then choose animation>keyframe assistant>sequence layers. you can set overlap duration and cross disolve parameters if needed…

Hmm I tried this but perhaps I was doing something wrong. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

it may be that the frame durations are the length of the comp. ae has a setting for duration of imported still images, they can be a set length (like 5 seconds) or set to use the duration of the last comp that was created.
you can trim the length of all the images at once by selecting the layers, position the time cursor to the point you want to trim them and then pressing Alt+] (Windows) or Option+] (Mac OS).
then you should be able to sequence the layers with the keyframe assistant.
