I have an incredibly large and complex after effects file I’m working on right now. I’m not sure if there is a way around this aside from buying more ram (I only have 2 gigs right now)…anyhow what happens is that I can preview 30 seconds or so, then make some changes, then I can only preview 25 seconds, etc etc…eventually I can only preview 1 frame (which it won’t let me preview). So I have to reboot the app, rinse and repeat. Is there any way around this aside from buying more Ram? Thx.

try edit>purge>all from the menu. it usually works.

restarting ae will help if purge does not.

rebooting will help if restarting ae does not.
