  AWESOME.

  Those will saturate an entire Thunderbolt channel, so forget doing much daisy chaining.

  So I guess we’ll need a few Thunderbolt ports with separate controllers.

  The Thunderbolt controllers used in everything but the MacBook Air thus far apparently have 4 channels (plus two DisplayPort channels). Maybe that means the twin ports on the 27″ iMac are using dedicated channels from the same controller that has bandwidth to spare? I’m not finding much in the way of a definitive explanation.
