    So there’s a movie about Steve Jobs about to be made, which, if it ends up being cut on FCP, could have a bit of a blemish put on it thanks to FCPX. If they had done a proper FCP upgrade like everyone wanted, it could have been said with total confidence that Jobs’ influence extended even to the making of this film about him, as it was edited on a Mac using Apple software that has now become a standard used by movie editors.

    Now we’ll have to put an asterisk at the end of that line about FCP, and add a footnote at the bottom that reads, “Before it was completely and abruptly killed off for reasons known only to Apple, and replaced by something far less capable…”

    Even Pixar uses Avid. I don’t think he really cared all that much.
