Corel VideoStudio Pro X4 and Premiere Pro, and Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD…

No mention of comparisons to Avid, or Media 100…or Lightworks. So, again, we see what market is most receptive to FCX. Who it is targeted to.

Now there’s a feature worth touting, the ability to have “more” than 100 layers of video. And I would have thought 100 layers of video was enough — shows what I know.

I realize that a lot of Avid and FCP 7 see PPro as something of a toy… but comparing it to Corel VideoStudio Pro and Vegas Movie Studio HD… really?
The links to other NLE reviews at the end also caught my attention:

I think it came bundled with a $75(US) video card I purchased two years ago… I never tried it though (since I already use PPro). 🙂

That’s all fine… nice article. It would have been helpful to know who the actual author is (not staff) and what their experience level is, so we could get some indication of their qualifications for judging what’s important and ground breaking, however.
