Apple was very upfront about Siri being in beta at the keynote, and the website says beta too and always has: https://www.apple.com/iphone/features/siri.html
FCPX aside, it’s amazing what people want their phones to do for them these days, just by talking to it.

It’s not about Apple’s implementation of Siri. It’s about their method of responding to complaints. The “you’re holding it wrong” attitude is completely pervasive throughout the company. The point – and relevance to FCP X – is that once they start to dominate an industry, they seem to quit integrating customers’ needs into the equation.

This approach may be fine and dandy for a company focused on consumer electronics and retail. I cannot help but marvel every time I go to the mall and see the Apple Store packed to capacity with people lining up to hand over their money.
I admit that talking with Siri brings a smile to my face. I also find FCPX fun to use and see its potential for certain types of editing.
But when it comes to tools for my own livelihood, playing the Apple guessing game is a luxury I can no longer afford.

But using the example he gave, Apple actually responded. Just like they actually released an FAQ in response to FCPX.
He just didn’t like the answers, which is fair.

Oh, I agree with what you are saying completely. But, taken as an aside, Jeremy is also right, and I can’t resist an opportunity to play that Louis CK clip.
