Found this gem in an article about Lion having quotes from the book of Jobs:

“Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the [square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.] – Apple Inc.”

Yes- that is an Apple TV commercial I believe. I always figured it was a quote from somewhere.

I can’t read that and not hear Richard Dreyfuss’ voice speaking it in my head.

Apart from Apple’s shameless self-involved conceit, the problem is that with the real crazies who change the world you never know who your going to get; Lenin or Ghandi.

Stalin or Ghandi would be more appropriate.

    Hitler or Einstein.

Stalin wasn’t the revolutionary, he was the follower. Robespierre, Qaddafi, or Castro would work, as would Adolph, but that’s going too far.

    [Herb Sevush] “Lenin or Ghandi.”

    Herb

Just wanted to bring to your attention that its Gandhi not Ghandi. Later translates to female hippopotamus in Hindi(National language of India, one that Gandhi himself spoke in). lol

“The creative person wants to be a know-it-all. He wants to know about all kinds of things: ancient history, nineteenth-century mathematics, current manufacturing techniques, flower arranging, and hog futures. Because he never knows when these ideas might come together to form a new idea. It may happen six minutes later or six months, or six years down the road. But he has faith that it will happen.” — Carl Ally

I have not read all the posts, so please forgive me if I am repeating or going off subject.

Yea – I know that broadcast televsion is doomed, and that everything one day will be on the web, and conforming to broadcast standards will mean nothing 20 years from now. But in the mean time, I HAVE TO MAKE A LIVING, and I have to deliver what clients require. And if FCP X represents what “will be” in the future – well, that’s great, but I can’t make money with it right now.

Nor can I. I’m Interested. I’m open. But I’m not hearing anything that tells me I will be able
to continue to make a living with X. The very few words emitting from Cupertino do not make
    me optimistic about this.
