• Adobe After Effects

  Help Feature

  Hi,

  I have just installed the After Effects version 7. But I am unable to use the help feature. I am very new the tool and would like to start using the help to understand the tool first.

  Also i check the installation directory and all the HELP files are present where they should be.

  I’d try a reinstall. Or you could just navigate to the help files, in XP, C/Program Files/Adobe/After Effects/Support Files/E (for English), scroll WAY down past the numbered files, to almost the last file, and click on “help.html” and your in.

  What operating system are you on. I wonder if it’s a Vista thing, sinse I know XP tries to Block Content, but not to the extent of your problem?

  Hi Mike,

  Thanks for the inputs. But i did try and look into the installation folder for the help.html, my installation path is a little different i.e C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects 7.0\Support Files\Help\en_US. But the whole point is the help.html itself is missing.
  I did try and reinstall as well but with the same result. I am not sure incase I am doing something wrong here.

  Another thing, I am using after affects 7.0 professional and I have a home.xml instead of a home.html. And i am not being able to open it using the F1 button in the editor.
