  Intel MAC vs PC with AE CS3

  Please don’t flame me for starting a MAC vs PC thread.

  I couldn’t find a thread comparing performance and/or reliability of AE CS3 on Intel MAC vs similarly configured PC.

  I will soon make a significant hardware purchase to run CS3. It could be PC or MAC (nice to have options).

  Could anyone please comment on AE CS3 performance comparison between the two platforms – assuming same Intel processor(s), RAM, and similar level of video card and disk?

  Comparitive comments on reliability (specifically with AE) would be nice as well – although I understand reliability can vary across different PC models.

  i think at this early stage it is hard to judge specifically for CS3 … but if you are comparing machines of similar specs, then I think most people here would suggest getting whichever system is going to work best as part of your overall workflow…. do you edit on mac? finalcut? have other software that is platform specific … do you work with other people that use mac or PC?
