  can’t get strobe effect to work in FCP X

  OK…in FCP7 we had the Strobe effect in the Video section of the effects pull down menu.

  Because FCP X doesn’t have a “Strobe” effect, I was told to go into Motion 5 and create it there. But after I did and imported it, it doesn’t work properly.

  Giving a strobe setting of “2” like I used to in FCP7, I instead see my footage playing weirdly in reverse after applying the strobe effect created in Motion 5.

  Any suggestions?

  There is a filter that Brendan Gibbons created that you may download, and it will probably do what you need.
