  Question about a flash effect

  Im trying to figure out how to do this. can anyone help me out??

  the effect happens quite a bit between 1:40-1:55 and a couple times at about 2:13. Ive been trying to figure out how to do this for a while now. if anyone can help me out i would really appreciate it. thanx

  that looks like stock footage of film effects layered over the top using transfer modes….

  if you don’t want to buy stock footage, then you will need to just make coloured solids, mask them and feather the masks. Apply different transfer modes… mix different coloured solids… keyframe the opacity… maybe apply blurs…

  there’s really a million variations, so just play around until you get the look youre after

  alright. ill try that. thanx alot! but is there an easier way to get this effect?
