  cannot paste shapes from illustrator

  I can’t paste any shape directly from IL cs2 to AE7 – no difference if I try to paste path [plain, open bezier curve] as mask, or, let’s say, a circle, as a regular graphic element. Importing works fine, but ctrl+c/ctrl+v gives no result. My IL prefs: “clipboard on quit, copy as”: pdf – checked, aicb – checked [“preserve paths” on ].

  try changing ai clipboard pref from ‘preserve paths’ to ‘preserve appearance.’
