  bad video quality cannon xl2 in final cut pro

  Hello,
  i am capturing wedding footage from my cannon xl2 dv cam into final cut pro, and the video doesn’t look sharp, and looks kind of desaturated. i’ve been trying for days to capture this footage so it looks as good as it does on the lcd screen can anyone help me????? please!!!!
