February 28, 2007 at 4:23 pmhow are your previewing your .mov? is it in a comp timeline or are your double clicking the file from the project pane (or folder/desktop)? if it is in the timeline, are you hitting the spacebar to render the preview or the zero on the #s keypad?
placing the .mov in a comp and hitting the zero key on the #s keypad will generate a ram preview of what is in the timeline. a ram preview is usually the best way to see a realtime play out in ae. hitting the spacebar will actually render the preview to disk and play out from there, so high data rate files (large frames or high frame rates) may not play back correctly. double clicking the file will open the .mov in the quicktime player, and play the file from disk too, with the same limitations.
it also might be helpfull to know something about your system and operating system. and what the .mov was encoded as — which codec was used; mpg, animation, etc.

February 28, 2007 at 8:15 pmat first i wanna thanks for your help..!
i previewing my .mov in timeline in a comp (hitting 0 from numpad or space bar makes that flick i told last time). but if i preview double clicking the .mov in the proyect panel it opens and playback correctly… the problem is with the video in a comp. i have set up the comp with the fps original video..
is a short video from videocopilot.net, but i tried with other videos and the same happens. -

February 28, 2007 at 9:13 pmso, it would seem to be ae…
when you create your comp to put the .mov file in are you dragging the .mov file on to the new composition button at the bottom of the project window (the little film strip icon)? if you create your comp that way, the comp settings will take on media the properties of the .mov file, ruling out mistake.
in addition you could disable opengl in ae prefs, this can help some render/redraw issues in ae. you might also check the frame rate in the time controls panel and make sure it jives with your comp.
i’m grasping a bit, but you could try to purge all from the edit menu (mac ae7). i once had a wierd issue on an old g4, where it rendered all kinds of strange things that didn’t exist in particular comp, and it seemed that it hadn’t purged info from previous projects, forcing ae to purge helped. i assume you’ve tried rebooting already.
this does seem very unusual.
