I’ve never used After Effects before, and I need to know the best way to go about animating layers from a photoshop file. Specifically, is there a way to simply turn a layer on and off in the animation? For example, I have different sets of eyes for my ‘character’ (each in its own layer), and I just want to switch between them as needed.

    Help?

Keyframe the opacity property from 100% to 0% and back to make the layers visible/invisible. If you want them to blink, make them HOLD keyframes.
