  Events?

  I do not understand the concept of events and how to organize a project folder. FCP X creates a project folder and event folder outside the project folder.

  Any quick tips to understand the folder and file structure ?

  Think of your events as FCP 7 bins and projects as FCP 7 sequences. Media lives in Events and you edit on Projects.
