  a psd with a gradient importing in ae, but it shows only one color of the gradient.

  hey,

  i’m new into ae, so forgive me this beginner question.

  i have a psd file with some layers, and one layer has a gradient on it (and some layerstyles). in ae, it shows me only the first color of the gradient, not the whole gradient.

  can someone give me a hint?

  some layer effects don’t translate across into AE. Try rastering the layer in PS.

  in PS you can create a new empty layer, link it to your problem layer, then do merge layers (ctrl-E). Remember when layers are rasterised you lose the ability to change the effect. So maybe duplicate the layer first.
