  • Interlace flicking when thin lines compress

    Hello,

I do a lot of tv spots with shots of webpages to promote viewers to go to the websites for tv. One problem I battle is having a flicker on a lot of my shots with thin lines. I sometimes use the reduce interlace flicker feature but sometimes it blurs things out too much. I have also tried scaling up the image in a composition and then placing it into another comp with some suceess. Does anyone out there have any other suggestions for this? Thanks !

I am also using for my codec dv25 interlaced

well, reduce interlace flicker is the 1st choice.

if this blurs to much, you can apply the anti-flicker only to parts of the image where the error is most prominent.

maybe you can get rid of too much contrast with other tools, but this depends on the look of every single page.

    good luck,

That’s gonna happen once you get a line thinner than 2 pixels. One thing you can do is to add a little blur to the footage. A gaussian blur set to .5 vertical only ought to do the trick.
