  • Extracting dpx,rmf files for colorist

    Hello all,
First I apologize if this is not the right forum but I couldn’t figure out where else to post.
To make it simple I need help with the following:

I am working on a documentary, editing in FCP 7, 1920×1080 Apple Prores 422 HQ.

We have footage shot on a Canon c500 which was converted to Prores 422 HQ to edit with.
Now I need to send the colorist a scene and in the main directory I have dpx files in their respective clip folders but for a few shots, shot on a very tight lens (not sure which one, but it’s extreme close ups of a needle of a sewing machine in slow motion and the image is very cropped height wise), the folders contain rmf files.

My question is: how to extract the exact dpx and rmf files of the clip I am using? what is the difference and how should I send them to colorist?

Thank you very much for any help!
    Sofia
