  5dmkIII wont switch to video (mirror does not lock up)

  I have had a VERY annoying issue with the 5dmkIII when using it with a Ninja 2. At completely random intervals the camera will not switch to video and its quite obvious as the mirror will not lock up.

  This means no signal gets through to the Ninja 2 and the LCD remains blank, until the battery is removed and replaced in the 5dmkIII.

  Anyone else experiencing this?

  In my case it is a big problem as I use the camera in a housing underwater, so I cant just reset the camera with a battery reset…

  Any tips (including how to reset the camera without taking out the battery or having access to the LCD) would be greatly appreciated.
