RAW downloaded to Windows computer
I notice that when I download photos I’ve shot RAW into Windows 7 explorer (drag and drop) the file is momentarily much, much bigger than the final size. It looks to me like Windows is compressing the original RAW file. Is this so? And if so, is there a way to prevent that compression?
I am shooting with the Canon EOS Rebel T3i.
Incidentally, I have converted from Adobe Photoshop CS 6 to DxO Pro 8 to process all RAW images. Love it. So much cleaner and easier to use well.
