When I connect the Canon 60D to my Macbook, the Canon EOS utility shows up, but the camera’s files do not appear in Finder. The Canon EOS utility offers me the opportunity to select images, but the process is laborious – I haven’t found a way to select a range of images, for example. Since there are timelapses as well as movies, the number of images is huge, and checkmarking each image is out of the question.

    1. Am I missing something in the EOS software that makes it easier to select images?
    2. Is there alternative software for downloading?

re backup utility: I use ShotPut Pro to download the images from my video camera to multiple hard drives at the same time. It’s fantastic to be able to make backup copies, with verification, all at once. Is there anything like that for the Canon EOS line?
