  Convegent or KiPro?

  We shoot with the Canon 5D and a Zoom audio recorder. The conversion/Pluraleyes media management is becoming a hassle. Has anyone gone with a KiPro or Convergent product to record directly to one of those devices? We are looking at a smoother workflow from shoot to edit.

  Worked with some AF100 footage and it was a snap going from the source files right into FCP all with sequential timecode and linked audio. Kind of like the good old days of digitizing a tape and getting right to editing.

  What are your experiences?

  Hi Rich,
  Sorry but nothing to record the DSLRs.
  No one of these cameras has a video out put worth to be recorded.
  Buying an external SS recorded must be decided around the out put of the camera you are using.
  Some camcorders are putting out 8b Unc while others are putting out 10b Unc.

  Yeah, the Panasonic AF 100 or the Sony NEX-FS100 is the way to go. Those cameras blow away DSLR’s in image quality as well as having the ability of camera controls / audio control.
