Just dipping my toe into the dslr world and purchased a 60d. Im using a nikor lens and fotodiox V2 nikkor adapter made for the 60d. I’ve got all the settings I can find turned to manual but I keep getting a strange signal from the camera. The f-stop reading on the back and top screen will read 1.4 (like the nikkor 50mm 1.4 lens i’m using) when it suddenly jumps to 0 for less than a second. During this time, my live view dims by about 20% in brightness. It does this randomly every 5 or 10 seconds. Is this normal? If not, is there a setting on the camera I’ve missed for full manual mode. Could this be a faulty adapter? Any suggestions for this are greatly appreciated!!!!
    Kind Regards,
    Chris

I use a 60D with a Cinevate adaptor for Nikon lenses with no problems.

Here’s the menu setting for manual exposure:

Just for reference, I set my camera on Auto Exposure and tried to reproduce your problem. I did not experience exposure fluctuations like you described.
