I’ve been shooting with my 7D for the past few months and have noticed some issues with the quality of the videos that I’m getting.

Currently I convert the clips to ProRes 422 and edit with FCP. I typically shoot with 24 FPS with 1/50 shutter speed and the ISO never over 1600.

Any suggestions for my workflow or shooting settings would be awesome.

    Thanks!

There are so many things that can lead to so many different “quality issues”…. Give us some more info on the “quality issues” you are having.

Mostly the footage looks grainy. The images aren’t as sharp as those that I have seen come out of similar cameras.

I have had the same issue with the 7D. I heard there are a few sweet spots in the iso. 160, 320, and 640 usually work best. This seems to help a little, but if anyone knows anything else that would help that would be great.
