  making this still star image sparkle?

  Anyone know of a way to take this still star image and make the stars sparkle? I bought Trapcode’s starglow thinking it would do the trick, but it just makes them all glow at once rather than each one sparkle at different times.

  Try placing a solid with Fractal Noise applied over it. Animate the noise evolution, and mess with extra star layers, transfer modes and starglow to make it happen. The result should be brighter stars fading in and out because of the Fractal Noise layer.

  Its an AE project that uses fractal noise as a matte to vary the opacity of the starglow effect. HTH
