    Hi.
I have install After Effects 7.0 Pro on Windows XP SP2. I cannot get any audio to play during a RAM preview, when I scrub the timeline or when I make a movie. I can see the waveform in the footage files but can’t hear anything. Would that have something to do with it?

I can play audio files fine through Quicktime and iTunes and Windows media player, the problem is limited to AE 7.

    I have check
    1. The “mute audio” button is not clicked in your Time Controls (RAM Preview) box.
    2. Check my preferences. Preferences > Previews > Audio Preview.
    3. And i have reinstall AE 7.

Does anyone know why this is happening?

Check the duration of the audio preview in Preferences.

I have a similar problem. Just on some of the audio.
Seems that audio I’ve created using iMic USB recording will play in the footage bin, but won’t show a waveform in the timeline, nor will it preview in the timeline. Tried all the usual suspects: preview settings, various previews, etc.

Have tried exporting from the software (same problem with FFinal Vinyl and Audacity) as aiff, wav, etc., bringing into Quicktime proo 7.1.1 and re-exporting as aiff, quicktime mov, etc. 16-bit. Still doesn’t show up in timeline with waveform or pprview capaabilities. BUT, the audio will render. AND all the other audio not created in these programs preview fine. Any clues?
    thanks.
