Has anyone had any issues sending a HDMI image from the HDMI output of the SmallHD 1703 monitor to an older consumer TV? I have tested the output and got an image on an Atomos Sumo with HDMI soi there is a signal and the cable is OK but when i connect to a regular TV via HDMI I get Signal Unsupported. I tried two different TV’s. The TV’s are 1920×1080. The camera signal from Arri is 3.2k but even when I set it to HD no luck. I don’t really ever use HDMI so don’t know much about it. Has there been a change to the HDMI signal type recently that is incompatible with TV’s over 3 years old?

Many or most consumer monitors cannot accept 24p signals for instance since that is not a standard used by broadcasters. 1080i or 720p60 would be acceptable standards in the US that all TVs should handle, can’t speak for PAL situations.

    Thanks
