  • Adding to the beginning of the timeline

Posted by Chris Burns on May 11, 2006 at 1:18 am

I have an animation set up the way I like it but I would like to add something to the beginning of the project without changing anything in the rest of the project. How can I add say 30 sec to the beginning of the project and not screw up the timing or keyframes of the rest of the project. I have about 50 layers in the project.

    Thanks for the help.

one easy way would be to drop your comp in to a new (longer comp) 30 secs down the timeline

Create a new composition with the same specs as the first only make it a longer duration.

Drag the first composition into the new composition so it starts at about 30:00. It will behave like a single clip but remain fully editable.

Add whatever you need to the start of the second comp.
