How to make borders around layers?
Posted by Cem Yildirim on May 9, 2006 at 11:20 amHi..I certainly could not find any option to create borders around a layer for instance when we do picture in picture kind of work. But there must be a way to do it. Thank you for your help.

May 9, 2006 at 5:34 pmEasy way- double-click on the rectangular mask tool, which creates a mask around the outside of the selected layer. Then apply the Stroke effect, and assign it to the new mask.

February 16, 2012 at 3:03 pmif you are using cs5 just go to layer>layer styles> stroke and it just works exactly like photoshop

February 28, 2020 at 7:57 pma easy trick i like to do is to create a drop shadow opactiy 100 with a distance of 0 and a softness of somewhere below 100…then duplicate the shadow and set the softness to 0…duplicate that shadow 8 more times and it becomes a stroke
