Pro Field Recording Kit
Hello all. I’m seeking a bit of advice on purchasing a quality field recording kit (mixer, boom, lav/hand held, recorder, pre). I’m a sound engineer by trade and so I do feel comfortable using most any gear. Though I’m not looking to go back to school I do understand that there’s more to sound in any capacity than plugging in your mic and hitting record. That being said I’d like to outfit myself with a very basic, yet versatile kit. I’m not going to mention any particular gear, just leaving it open to the forum. My aim is simple: To hone my craft and freelance on as many varied projects as possible. I love sound, and I’m looking to make a carer of it. Advice on gear as well as any “career advice” is much appreciated.
