  • Inexpensive countdown clock for on-camera talent

I’m looking for an inexpensive way to put a large countdown display near the camera lens so on-camera talent will know how much time they have. Something as simple as a stopwatch or kitchen timer with a large external display would be perfect. I know ESE makes some great systems for this, but they seem a little expensive for what they are. I’d prefer to keep it under $250.

    Thanks in advance!

Get a Gralab timer. They are analog, but very easy to see across a room. And unlike a digital, very fast to set. They are priced well under your budget.

I have a system, it has stuff in it, and stuff hooked to it. I have a camera, it can record stuff. I read the manuals, and know how to use this stuff and lots of other stuff too.
    You should be suitably impressed…

[Scott Sheriff] “Get a Gralab timer.”

And given how few still photography darkrooms are still in use these days, you can probably EASILY find one on eBay or elsewhere for very little money.

    Great suggestion, Scott!
