  adjusting screen effect

  Hi y’all

  This site really rocks. I’m just a n00b in After Effects but I’m doing my best.
  Yo I’m in search of an effect that looks like a tracking adjusting screen on a VCR. Thesame effect was used in The Ring (US remake). You know horizontal lines that are distored.
  Can anyone help me?

  hi,

  if yoy can get your hands on digieffects delerium video malfunction it should do the job. if not you could try animating some solids with the opacity turned down, animate the movement, then apply a warp effect to them. if you use more than one solid precompose them and apply the effect to the precomp,

  this should be ok
