loop
Posted by Yussef Cole on November 2, 2005 at 6:52 pmfor the loop_out expression are there only certain properties that you can loop?
i’m trying to loop time remap keyframes and getting a: bad argument, cycle is not a legal value for argument 1 to loopOut…
thanks

November 2, 2005 at 7:00 pmI loop TR keys all the time. Pretty much. I just applied TR then applied the default loop_Out cycle expression — no problems.
Can you copy your expression and paste it into your next post?

November 2, 2005 at 7:55 pmHi,
Here is the expression I used:
loop_out(“cyle”,0)
I’m time-remapping a 7 second piece. Should I stretch out the tail of the layer to the end of the comp length? Or should the tail sit right where I want to start looping? As in, does the layer need exist under the playhead in order for the loop expression to work?
thanks,

All I did was:
1. drop clip into comp (comp 3x longer than clip).
2. Apply time remapping to clip.
3. Apply default loop_Out “cycle” expression using the drop-down menu.loopOut(type = “cycle”, numKeyframes = 0)
4. Trim the out-point of the clip to the right so I could actually see the looping. Remember, there’s no looping seen if something is only long enough to be seen once. 🙂
… and the layer needs to exist under the playhead (“current-time inicator” or CTI) so the layer can be seen at the CTI, same as always.
