  • HOW? Constant Overlapping WRITE-On effect.

Hello!.. I am working on a last minute project that I started yesterday and it’s gotta be ready in two days time… and I still have alot of unsolved questions and very little time… Anyone familiar with this situation?… Please give me a hand if you can…

    Ok:

I have a white “WireFrame” kind of island or radar map looking shape on a 3d black space… Like the ones you see on films at control towers at the airports… but viewed from a 45degree top angle (not flat top). Get the picture?
Now it gets tricky… I want a little white line to start jumping slowly inside this shape for a minute, creating a path while moving up, down, forth and back. After a minute the line will jump on to another “island” and start drawing another path, depending on the music and so on…The camera will follow the line from island to island and then stay firm for a minute, then move again…
Now… How can a create this white line write-on effect?
Remember: the result after a minute is very “messy” and it overlaps itself constantly… Creating a 3d kind of white scribble on a surface floating on the black space…

Wow! What an effort to explain my self! Hope you understood and wanna help.

    Thanx
    G

Animating Vector Paint strokes in the Professional bundle will allow you to “write on” a line.

If you have the standard, you can draw the as a path with the pen tool and stroke the path, animating the end %.
