  Problems with Audio in AE 7.0

  I am new to After effects and for some reason when I add a sound clip into the timeline it will not play when i press play on the time thingy. The video will play but no audio…But when i go to edit, preview, audio it will play the audio but not the video… I need somthing like how adobe premiere does it where I can scroll through video and sound at the same time….How do I do this In AE 7?

  I’m new to learning AE but i think the only audio scrubbing you can get is by holding down the Ctrl key you can hear bits of the audio as you drag along the timeline, its not all that clear but you can use it to line somethings up. the only other way, i know of, is when you preview, but then you have to wait for that to save.

  I’m guessing there must be a better way, but not found it yet though.

  RAM preview will play video and audio. Be sure to set a longer duration for the audio preview in User Preferences (defaults to only 8 seconds) before previewing.
