I just wanted to know if theres a quick and “dirty” way you all can recommend?
I have some broadcast sitcom footage, I want to remove everything except one character who is walking in the room… any thoughts?

I have previously used the paint tool over every frame, with mixed results…anything to “learn” and keep the shape which I can then just modify over time?
I’m pretty certain Ive seen this used or heard of it, but the technique escapes me.

    Thanks much

You’re most likely talking about rotoscoping, a very tedious, time consuming task, but very rewarding when done well. I’ve rotoscoped just a few very short clips and I don’t really like doing it. Do a search of the forums for “rotoscope” and you should get a huge list of posts on different techniques and suggestions. It’s a very broad topic and is rather well covered. Good luck!

    Michael.
