  Two simple questions… searching the Arri Site but can’t find the answer

  I have two, what I think are straightforward, Arri questions.

  1. Can you record Arri raw while at the same time recording to ProRes or DNxHD on SxS cards? I’m assuming if you do the TC would match.

  2. Is there an option in ARRIRAW convertor to punch in on the 3K and output a cropped image to 1920×1080?

  I’ve spent the morning looking around but can’t quite find those answers. I know these are basics but we usually shoot with Red and a new director for us is insisting on Arri.

  Any help is appreciated.

  1.) Yes you can. Timecode and file names match, but it doesn’t eliminate the need to QC the ARRIRAW files.
  2.) I don’t use ARRIRAW convertor so I cannot answer.
