    Hi all!

I was just wondering if anybody knew of a software which imports Alexa prores files from a external disk based on a edl to another hard drive?

    The scenario is:
    – I have a edl from the editors
    – I want the selected files from the edl to a external disk to my grading station

Reason being I don’t want to online from disk and then have to be forced to render induvidual clips when conforming.

I’ve been doing this by hand a couple of times and it gets a bit boring in the end:)

So just to be sure you understand: This has nothing to do with online/conform, just move selected files from a external disk to another using a edl.

    Cheers and thanks in advance!

You can do this with CatDV. Import all the master files into a catalog then the edl. If you have the “link media based on reel and timecode” enabled the edl clips will link and you can export them all as flattened movies to a drive.
