Canon 70D – Noisy footage @ ISO 100 [Outdoors]
I’ve been trying to solve this problem for a while now, however I cannot seem to figure out what I am doing wrong. Let’s cut to the chase.
For a while now, I’ve noticed lots of grain in my footage, especially in the shadows. This occurs even at the lowest ISO, outdoors with the shot perfectly exposed. The lens being used was a Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 L USM.
I have taken a test video and posted it to Mediafire. In this video, the sun is on my back and exposure meter is dead in the centre. Here were my settings:
– ISO 100, 1/50s, f/22 (this high as I do not have an ND filter)
– Auto Lighting Optimizer: Off
– High ISO NR: Standard
– Highlight tone priority: Off
– Picture style: Auto (although I usually shoot with CineStyle, I wanted to make sure that it was not an issue with the picture profile, so I used the camera’s default)If you look in the black areas or even the grey areas of the car, noise is clearly visable. Here is the link, help would be much appreciated:
