A7s Super Overexposed Video File, Fine in Camera
Hey guys, I’ve just picked up an A7s to shoot videos with.
I’ve shot a few little interviews with it and some b-roll on other shoots to get to grips with it. Currently shooting in AVCHD (looking to move to s-log soon).
Loaded up an interview in Premeire this morning and noticed the shot was majorly blown out. I couldn’t believe I’d made such an amateur mistake.
But I looked back at the video file on the camera and it looks fine, background slightly over-exposed but much, much better then the video in Premiere. I loaded the video file from the SD Card on my Macbook and same problem – super-exposed.
Even stranger – none of the other clips from other shoots/locations have done this. Just these set of clips from one particular shoot.
Now I’ve shot this interview locally so while re-shooting is going to look bad, it’s not the end of the world. But I shoot a lot of videos of clients on trips – sometimes hundreds of miles away. So I can’t have this happen in future.
Anyone know what might be causing this?
Also – I realise this is the DSLR forum, couldn’t see a MILC one.
