  Recover camera audio

  I forgot to turn on the lav mic of some one I was interviewing on my canon d60 and now I have just very quiet static. Is there a way to recover the internal camera audio so that I could have any real audio at all (even if it is not good). On premiere pro, it looks like a flat line for one clip, but on the other interview clip there is a spike right at the beginning where there’s sound from touching the camera and you can hear the interview speaking a little bit, so I know that there is some camera audio attached to these clips somehow.

  I would suggest trying Normalization, an effect which maximizes the volume of a track without distorting it:
