What lights for Home Video Tours??
Hello everyone,
I’m new to the forums and had a question for you guys.
I do stills and videos for real estate agents and brokerages. For my videos I’m wondering what kind of lights I should be using? I need something low budget, but I would like to know what the pros use so I can set a goal to reach.
Here is a list gear that I own for the video tours.
Canon 7D
10-20 Sigma 1:4-5.6
StudioFX 48″ Slider
Glide Cam HD-2000
PhotoFlex Starlight (DSLR KIT)
1 CoolStar 150 CFL (5600K)
1 1000 watt StarLite lamp (3100K)The last video tour that I booked I rented a 16-35 2.8 II and I think I’m going to keep renting that lens until I make enough money. What really sucks is that I’m using a crop censor with the lens….
The guy at picture line showed me a 10-20 canon F/3.5-4.5, It would work with my censor, but I’m losing some f-stops as well. Also, I’m not sure if the quality is as good as the 16-35. I also want to save up for a Canon 5dmkIII
Maybe some SkyLux’s Would be a nice fit? Also, for interiors, should I be using 5200k or 3100k lights?
I thank you all in advance!!
